Our first ever Charlotte Trunk Show, held at Gaither D.’s home, was a fabulous success! At our trunk shows, hostesses have the option of donating a percentage of the receipts of the show to charity. Gaither chose the Levine Museum of the New South as the beneficiary. Lots of stationery and gift sales resulted in a donation to the Levine Museum of the New South of $785.90.

Many thanks to all of Gaither’s friends, neighbors and colleagues for supporting the show. Thanks also to our local helpers Caroline S. and Kelly Y.

The Levine Museum of the New South is located at 200 E 7th Street in Charlotte, NC. According to the organization’s website (www.museumofthenewsouth.org) the museum offers “educational opportunities to children and adults, to build bridges among our diverse communities, and to examine contemporary issues within a historical context.  What started as a museum-without-walls has grown into one of our region’s thriving cultural institutions and a national, award-winning model for civic engagement.”

The museum is open daily.
